Lambert, a Retired Selah Teacher, also Served Board for 12 Years
Kathy Lambert has quite a tenure in the Selah School District. Now, the District would like to extend a special thanks and recognize Lambert for her Board service.
After 12 years of dedicated service to the Selah School District Board of Directors, Lambert is retiring from her seat. Lambert began her tenure with the Selah School Board in 2007, and December 12, marked the last meeting for which she would serve as a member, electing not to run for her seat this past fall. During Lambert's tenure with the Board she also served as the Legislative Representative. A former elementary teacher with Selah Schools, retiring in 2007 after 33 years of service, students and education have always been a priority of Lambert's and at the top of her agenda.
Superintendent, Shane Backlund, said Lambert's service and commitment to Selah Schools are admired.
"I want to thank Kathy for her service to Selah Schools and for her work as a member of the Board," said Backlund. "Kathy's commitment to student learning has always been her priority. Her passion for students and her hard work to ensure they succeed and experience quality educational opportunities is admired and respected."
